It is still a joke for a few peices of plastic. I understand why people need mark ups, but there is a point! I would say (working in a business who uses moulded plastic parts a lot) that the cost of making one of those would be only a few $, max.
The thing is, people charge with what they can get away with. The market says they can sell at $160 or whatever, so why sell for less?
My old mechanical discs had a similar function to the hayes to adjust pad contact, such a great idea!!!
Also, anyone notice how crazy long the stem is on that bike?

Why don't Shimano look at SRAM rear mech's? They go without that flimsy little linkage that Shimano are using and make the RD work just fine?
I like progression of technology, but this just seems to me that Shimano is palming off it's weak link onto other manufacturers. About Us
